Privacy policy

Last updated 11 October 2026

This policy explains what happens to personal data when you use vsnv.org — what we collect, who processes it on our behalf, and how to exercise your rights. It covers this website only. The VisionariesNV member platform is a separate service and is described under “Joining the community” below.

Who is responsible

The controller of the personal data described here is TechEdge Developers d/b/a VisionariesNV, a Nevada company. VisionariesNV is the trading name it operates this site under, which is why it is the name you see everywhere else.

You can reach us at 8400 West Sunset Road, Black Fire Innovation Center, Suite 300, Las Vegas, NV 89113, USA.

For anything in this policy, including requests about your data, write to contact@vsnv.org.

What we collect, and why

We only collect what a specific action requires. There is no account, no profile and no tracking of individuals across the site.

  • Contact form — your name, email address and the message you write. We use them to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
  • Newsletter — your email address, and the fact that you consented. We use it to send you updates. Legal basis: your consent, withdrawable at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email.
  • Analytics — aggregate information about how the site is used: pages viewed, approximate location by country, device and browser type. Legal basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner and withdrawable at any time.
  • Server logs — our hosting provider records IP addresses and request details for security and reliability. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site running and defending it from abuse.

Who processes data for us

We use the providers below. Most are United States companies, so using this site involves transferring personal data outside the European Economic Area; those transfers rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Where a provider’s own policy does not say where it processes data, its entry says so rather than assuming.

  • Vercel — hosting. Processes server logs, including IP addresses.
  • Sanity — content management. Stores the articles and profiles published on the site; it holds no visitor data.
  • Resend — email delivery. Receives contact form submissions and sends confirmations.
  • Mailchimp — newsletter list. Stores subscriber email addresses and delivery statistics.
  • Google Analytics 4 — website analytics. The tag loads on every page but starts in a denied state, so no analytics cookie is set and no identifier is stored about you unless you accept. Google does receive the request itself, including your IP address, before you have chosen.
  • Tagembed — the LinkedIn feed on the home page. When that section comes into view your browser fetches the posts from Tagembed, which therefore receives your IP address, your browser details and the address of the page you are on. Tagembed’s published privacy policy names neither the company operating the service nor the country it processes data in, so we cannot state a transfer basis for it. We are resolving that; until it is resolved, this entry says what we know rather than what would read better. See “The LinkedIn feed” below.
  • LinkedIn — the images in that same feed are served from LinkedIn’s own content network, so LinkedIn receives your IP address and browser details when the feed appears. We send it nothing else about you, and we receive nothing about you back.
  • Microsoft Clarity — planned, not yet in use. When it is added it will measure how pages are used, and it will load only after you accept analytics cookies, on the same footing as Google Analytics.

Cookies and similar storage

This site sets two cookies of its own, analytics sets more only if you allow it, and the LinkedIn feed keeps a short-lived cache in your browser.

  • NEXT_LOCALE — remembers the language you chose, so returning to the site does not reset it. Necessary. Expires after one year.
  • vsnv-consent — remembers your cookie decision, so you are not asked on every visit. Necessary. Expires after one year.
  • Google Analytics cookies — set only after you accept analytics. They measure usage in aggregate. If you decline, they are never set.
  • tb_wall_cache — not a cookie. It is a copy of the LinkedIn posts just displayed, held in your browser’s session storage so the feed does not fetch them twice. It holds nothing about you, and your browser discards it when you close the tab.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page.

The LinkedIn feed

The home page shows recent posts from our LinkedIn page. They are embedded live through a third-party service, Tagembed, rather than copied onto the site.

It does not load with the rest of the page. Nothing is requested until you scroll far enough to bring the feed into view, so if you never reach that part of the page, neither Tagembed nor LinkedIn learns that you were here.

Once it does load, your browser contacts both of them: Tagembed for the posts, LinkedIn’s content network for the images. Both therefore see your IP address, your browser type and which page you are on. This happens whatever you chose in the cookie banner — the feed is page content rather than analytics, and it is not currently held behind that choice. We think you should know that rather than have to discover it.

It sets no cookies on this site, and nothing about you comes back to us from it.

Joining the community

“Apply to Join” takes you away from this website to app.visionariesnv.com, where the VisionariesNV member community runs on Mighty Networks.

Creating an account there means providing data directly to that platform, under its own terms and privacy policy. This policy does not cover it. We mention it because the transition is easy to miss: the link looks like part of the site, and it is not.

How long we keep data

  • Contact enquiries — kept while we deal with them and for up to two years afterwards, so we have context if you get back in touch.
  • Newsletter subscriptions — kept until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics — retained by Google for 14 months, then deleted automatically.
  • Server logs — kept for a short period by our host, typically no more than 30 days.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.

Write to contact@vsnv.org to exercise any of these. We will respond within one month. If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell personal data.
  • We do not run advertising or remarketing pixels on this site.
  • We do not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.
  • We do not build profiles of individual visitors.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, say so on the site.
